Conspiracy theory in denialism

At the moment I am in Norway, a blog on that journey is coming. In the mean time here are some sites on denialism, detailing how to invent controversy by invoking numerous conspiracies, global warming denial, and how the anti-science movement shares the characteristics that are prosaicly termed crank magnetism.

  1. You've stolen my pseudonym! Or, I've stolen your pseudonym! I've been Nescio on various email forums and blogs for about 12 years now. I do post on Orac and Science Based Medicine from time to time, which might cause some confusion. Curiously, I'm in the UK too, though I'm not a doctor. What do you suggest we do about this identity crisis?

  2. Hmm, that is a problem. Not sure what to do. Like you I have been using this pseudonym for years. After reading his books, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nescio :), I became aware of the name and liked the inherent reference to Socrates in it.

Anyway, I need some time to think about this.
